Keeping your Above Phone up to date is essential for maintaining smooth performance and reliable access to all features. Outdated apps can begin to malfunction, and operating system updates often include critical cybersecurity patches, bug fixes, and new features. This simple guide walks you through the different types of updates your device requires and how to perform each one.

We recommend updating everything at least once per month. Choosing a consistent date (such as the 1st of each month) can help you stay on top of your maintenance schedule.

This video is still showing the F-Droid (v1) - now in the updated v2.0 the user interface is quite different. Instead of Updates it will show My Apps at the bottom right to allow installing pending app updates.
