In order to get a good idea of where the actual calendar data resides, users might first want to assess if their calendar(s) are saved offline directly on the respective device(s), - or if an online cloud-based service is being used. For the latter, both Android users, as well as iPhone users have a synced calendar service directly offered to them, namely Google Calendar or iCloud Calendar respectively.

If you have been using a Google calendar or iCloud calendar so far, note that you can integrate it into DAVx⁵. Once integrated, you could decide to keep using it (which would still give data to Google), or you could also easily all calendar data and migrate it over to either an offline calendar or another synced calendar (e.g. Above Suite Calendar).

If your calendar is an online calendar, you may first want to assess the following:
- Would you be fine with an offline Calendar or do you actually need an online calendar?
- Do still want / need to use your existing calendar? Maybe for work or specific groups?
- Do you need to migrate the data from your old calendar to a different one?

If your calendar is actually an offline calendar, you’ll have the option to migrate your existing calendar and start using your offline calendar from the Above Phone.

An active Above Suite subscription, allows to set up a synced online calendar (and contact list), and it’s possible to import calendar data into that too. Our synced calendar solution is based on the open protocol CalDAV and can be synced across devices via open source apps. Our calendar service can be used to automatically send event invites to Email addresses.

To get all of your existing events out of your old calendar, you can export complete calendar data into a single file (preferably .ics file, but .csv file formats can also work). These calendar files can then be imported into another calendar.

Note that calendars tied to a Google account can still be used on the Above Phone via DAVx5 - however, all data of this calendar will be saved on Google’s servers.
