# XMPP - Change Password

In this article we will show how you can easily change your password for XMPP accounts.

**Note for Above Privacy Suite users:**This will only change the XMPP address specific password, so the one for *username*@**chat.above.im**

Note that your Email password (or any other Above Suite related password) will NOT be changed this way.

We will use [***Snikket***](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.snikket.android) in this example - yet it will be exactly the same for ***Cheogram*** since they are all based on [Conversations](https://conversations.im/).


Here are the steps:


1. Open ***Cheogram*** (or ***Snikket*** / ***Conversations***)
2. in the main page, tap on the **three dots on the top right corner**
3. Select ***Manage Accounts*** - it will take you to a new page listing all active accounts
4. **Tap on the account** you'd like to change the password for
5. Now we're in the account page - here we tap on the **three dots on the top right** again
6. Now simply select ***Change Password*** and change it as you see fit  
   You will need your current password for this.
