Outdated apps can begin to malfunction, and operating system updates often include critical cybersecurity patches, bug fixes, and new features. This simple guide walks you through the different types of updates your device requires and how to perform each one. :::tip We recommend updating everything at least once per month. Once connected to a stable internet connection, the phone will automatically start downloading the update. 3. Refresh the page by swiping down in the middle of the screen OR tap on ***Check for Updates*** to manually refresh and ensure everything is current. 5. Install any pending updates you deem necessary. ### **F-Droid Basic (v2.0) Updates** 1. Open the ***F-Droid Basic*** app. 2. Tap on the ***My Apps*** tab at the bottom right. 3.
