Notifications must be activated and visible** —> things like *‘Do not disturb’* mode could interfere with notifications not being shown —> **Notification permission** needs to be __enabled__ for each instance of *Inter Profile Sharing* ::: # Inter Profile Sharing on Android 17 :::warning Since GrapheneOS released Android 17, it looks like currently ***Inter Profile Sharing*** will only work after enabling some special permissions for the app. ::: ### Preparation As a preparation, apart from a USB-C cable to connect the phone to the computer, you may need to have [ADB / platform tools](https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools) installed on your computer, and use a chromium-based browser, as recommended in the tutorial. ### Enable hidden Developer settings & USB debugging To be able to access the hidden setting, you'd first want to go to ***Settings > About device*** and tap on ***Build number*** at the very top, bottom of the screen about 10 times. It should then tell you that you are now a developer. After that, you can go into the ***Settings > System*** category, where you should now find ***Developer options***. This is where you can **enable** ***USB debugging*** - just scroll down to find and activate it. After that you can **connect the USB-C cable** to the phone and computer.
