With modern phones is possible to send files remotely via Bluetooth.

Please note that your experience may be different depending on how old your device is and the Bluetooth version it uses.

Step 1: Enable Bluetooth

Note: the following steps are should be followed for BOTH devices.

• Open Settings:
Access the Settings app on both devices.

• Search for the Bluetooth menu – it may be in the section ‘Connected devices’

Alternatively, swipe down form the top of the screen twice to access the Quick settings – you may find the Bluetooth option in there. Hold down on it to access additional settings.

• Turn on Bluetooth:
Tap on Bluetooth and toggle it on. It will then be highlighted.

• Open the Bluetooth menu:
Hold down on the Bluetooth tile to get directly to the Bluetooth settings menu.

Alternatively, navigate through the device settings:

Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth

• Make Device Discoverable (if applicable):
Set your device to ‘discoverable mode’ if needed (usually found in Bluetooth settings).

Sometimes, to speed things up, it can help to set both devices into pairing mode by searching for other devices on both at the same time.

Step 2: Pair the Devices

• Search for Devices:
On one of the devices, tap on "Pair new device" or "Available devices."

• Select the Other Device:
Choose the other phone from the list of available devices.

Also, take note of the device names to see how they would show up for other devices on Bluetooth.

For complete pairing, the connection needs to be approved on both devices

If your Above Phone doesn’t appear, try searching on both devices simultaneously until you see the other device popping up on one of them.

• Confirm Pairing:
Confirm the pairing by tapping 'Pair' or entering the provided PIN when prompted on both devices.

Once the devices are paired, you'd see them listed in 'Connected devices'

• Check Bluetooth options:
Tap on the device to see what options Bluetooth can give you.

Step 3: Select Files to Transfer

• Open File Manager / Gallery:
You can use a file manager app on the sending device (or the Gallery app for images).

• Select your files:
Press and hold on one file / folder to select it - it will highlight in blue. You can then tap on other files to select multiple ones at the same time.

• Share via Bluetooth:
With the files selected, use the 'Share' button which is an icon made up of 3 dots connected. It looks like an open triangle, as shown in the picture. After tapping on the 'Share' button, scroll up to see the sharing options and pick Bluetooth.

See the next section for screenshots of this.

Step 4: Send Files via Bluetooth

• Share Option:
Tap on the Share icon (usually represented by an icon made up of one dot connecting to two other dots). It looks like an open triangle, as shown in the picture).

You can try to use the 'Share' button from any app, where you see it.

• Select Bluetooth:
Choose Bluetooth from the sharing options.

• Select the Target Device:
Choose the paired device from the list to send the files to.

Step 5: Accept the Transfer

• Receive File Notification:
On the receiving device, a notification will prompt to accept the incoming file transfer.

• Accept the Transfer:
Tap "Accept" to begin the file transfer.

Step 6: Monitor Transfer Progress

• Check Transfer Status:
Monitor the transfer progress in the notification shade on both devices.

Once the transfer is complete, you'll see a confirmation inside that same notification.

Additional Tips

• File Size Limitations: Be mindful of potential file size limits with Bluetooth transfers.

• Stay Close: Maintain proximity between devices to ensure a stable Bluetooth connection.

• Transfer Speed: For transferring larger files, consider alternatives like Wi-Fi Direct for faster speeds, as Bluetooth can be slow for large files
