If you want to transfer text messages from a different Android phone to the Above Phone, you can follow this guide.

Note: If you encounter issues importing messages via QUIK SMS, be sure to update it to version 4.10 (or later) via F-Droid, which fixes this bug!

As an alternative it's also possible to use SMS Import / Export. This app also allows you to transfer media messages (MMS) and call logs!

Install the app on both phones and backup / restore in the same manner:
> Create backup on old phone > transfer backup file to new phone > Import backup file on new phone
